Caption: Gold's cubic atoms are believed to be the result of Supernova explosions that scattered metal dusts into the Earth's atmosphere. Tiny gold particles collect using water as the medium and form deposits usually along with quartz. 80% of the precious metal is used in jewellery and is privately owned. Gold's symbol is 'au'
